On 22 June 1998, Channel 4 showed an interview with Andi Peters and the Spice Girls on the eve of their US tour and they talked about the future and the split. The video from Viva Forever was also shown for the first time.

Mel B confirmed she IS engaged
Mel C fancies someone in show business but refused to say who
Emma denied any romantic involvement. Andi Peters said "You have a romance, don't you?" and Emma replied "Do I? Who says?". But at the end Victoria said that Mel C was the only "single" one because they were joking about fixing her up with Bill Clinton as they were in America.
The Girls sincerley thought Geri was ill and didn't kniow she was planning to leave. It has all been done through Lawyers and they haven't spoken to her since the decision.
They don't know why she did it but are perfectly happy without her.
Are the Spice Girls going to be here this time next year - of course they all said.
They did a joke for Geri on the Oslo show because they put a beaver on stage with it's own spotlight and sang Beaver Forever - no one in the audience got the Joke!!!
Mel C's tattoo confirmed as ANGEL. When asked why she initially siad she liked the perfume, but then she said she had it because she had lost someone close recently and feels that she has an angel watching over her.
About the arguments. Mel B admitted arguments with Geri but nothing major at all in the last 2 YEARS. The last 6 months they have all been really close and the last time they saw Geri they flew back on a private jet from Helsinki (remember in the press it said they were arguing all the way and at the airport), well the Girls said they had no argument and were all having a good laugh on the plane.
Other press lies are: they all didn't go to Elton John's house for a crisis meeting. Emma and Mel B went to Tuscany (possibly Michael JAcksons house) for a 5 day holiday and Victoria and Mel C went to Elton's house. Mel C then went home and Victoria went off with David.
They thought there would be more in the press about the split but thanked Paul Gasgoine (England football player "Gazza" who was dropped from the World Cup Squad) for taking the heat off them in the press.
At the end of the prog, people who had been to the concert were asked how they liked it. All said great obviously but a little boy aged about 5 was asked if he missed Geri and he replied "Who's he?" Forgotten already!!!!!
The video is really weird.
2 kids in a wood find a big plastic egg which a chicken on a spring comes out of. They follow it to a glade where there is another egg and these fairy Spice Girls (in the picture) fly out. They play around then see a huge Rubics cube, they lower the girl into the cube which then shrinks to normal size and is carried by the boy, sadly because he has lost his girlfriend/sister into a field full of these big plastic eggs which turn out to be those containers from the put the money in the slot machines, turn the handle and out comes the egg with some gift in. A huge one of these is in the background. He puts the cube in an egg, throws it up and it enters the machine and rests with the other eggs in there. Then it seemed that hundreds of fairies flew out of the machine like bees. The video started witha book cover opening and this was taking part as in a fairy story and it finished with the book closing - totally weird.
